Student Testimonials

  • "I discovered MopCo last year. The workout nights and the classes have given me confidence, joy, and a whole new group of friends. There are not many places where adults can play while learning and growing as people. MopCo is one. Thanks, all!"

    — Joanne

  • "Improv is the therapy I didn’t realize I so badly needed. Despite having zero acting experience, I began taking classes at Mopco on a whim. Under Michael Burns' excellent tutelage, I now take every class I can and, in less than a year, have even begun performing live. Through improv at Mopco, I’ve rediscovered a better version of myself, one I thought I’d lost long ago to overwork and social isolation. I feel like I’m whole again."

    —KNS

  • "The Mopco is home to a motley crew of clowns, dramaturgs, and regular folks, all led by Michael Burns, a man who is really only cantankerous on stage. It is an inclusive community of talented folks and the classes are well worth the price."

    —Ben
